Maureen E. Brantigan, 76, wife of Richard T. Brantigan, passed away, peacefully in her sleep after a courageous fight with cancer, on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020, at her home.

She was born in Albany, New York, on April 12, 1944, to the late Charles and Dorothy Cody Motta.

She was a retired registered nurse and a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Michelle (Kyle) Hendrix and Terri Beth (Richard) Krauth; four grandchildren, Elliott Hendrix, Katrina McGrew, Joshua Kruath and Autumn Krauth; great-granddaughter, Kendall McGrew; brother, Charles (Linda) Motta; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister and brother-in-law, Joan (Lawrence) Miller.

Heaven will be a little brighter because of her infectious laugh and great smile.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 27, 2020 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 248 South Main Street, Winchester, KY by Father Frank Brawner. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery.
