Gary Ray Sams, 58, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, at University of Kentucky Medical Center.

A native of Clark County, Kentucky, he was born on Aug. 24, 1962, to James and Ramona Bennett Sams.

He was a Pipefitter Local 452 and a member of Alansville Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Marisa (Zared) Layne, Joslyn (Bob) Stanfield and December (Lee) Shortridge; grandchildren, Autumn Scott, Bobby and Elliot Stanfield, Cameron, Addison, Emerson Shortridge, and Gavin Layne; sister, Rhonda (Kevin) Slucher; and nephew, Ian Slucher.

Due to current government guidelines services will be private at Scobee Funeral Home. Services will be livestreamed via Scobee Funeral Home Facebook on Thursday.
