FRANKFORT — The Senate Majority Caucus announced the committee assignments for the 2021 regular session of the Kentucky General Assembly. Sen. Ralph Alvarado (R-Winchester) will continue to serve as the chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Health and Welfare.
Alvarado will also serve as a member of the Senate Standing Committees on State and Local Government, Banking and Insurance, and the Budget Review Subcommittee on Human Resources. Additionally, he will serve as a member of the Medicaid Oversight and Advisory Statutory Committee.
“I am excited to serve on each of these committees and am especially honored to continue serving as chairman of the Health and Welfare Committee,” Alvarado said. “Each of these committees and the respective aspects of our state that they touch are as important as ever amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Each one will bring together the best and brightest within these fields so that we can best address the challenges we face. I look forward to working with my fellow committee members during the 2021 Session.”
