CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

• Angela C. Owens, 31, of Pine Top, was charged Feb. 20 with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Daron Dyke, 23, of Linden Avenue, was charged Feb. 11 with fourth-degree assault.

• Jared Ratliff, 20, of Tori Ann Drive, was charged Feb. 11 with possession of synthetic drugs.

• Christopher Gipson, 28, of First Street, was charged Feb. 16 with driving under the influence, trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine) and possession of marijuana.

• Gerald Culbertson, 56, of Mount Sterling, was charged Feb. 19 with driving on a DUI-suspended operator’s license, no proof of insurance, failure to wear seat belt and no registration plate.

• Nicholas Carbajal, 34, of Banana Drive, was charged Feb. 20 with driving under the influence and no operator’s license.

• Randall French, 75, of Clay City, was charged Feb. 24 with driving under the influence, failure to wear seat belt, possession of open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, reckless driving and no proof of insurance.

• At 8:32 a.m. Feb. 22, deputies were called to Combs Ferry Road concerning a stolen generator from a construction site.

• At 4:43 p.m. Feb. 20, deputies took a report after a vehicle was damaged by a chunk of ice on Interstate 64.

• At 10:01 a.m. Feb. 18, deputies were called to Pretty Run Road concerning a stolen trailer.

• At 5:01 p.m. Feb. 19, deputies were called to Interstate 64 after a vehicle was damaged by a falling piece of ice.

• At 10:53 a.m. Feb. 19, deputies were called to Becknerville Road concerning a theft from an online purchase.

• At 11:16 a.m. Feb. 19, deputies were called to Munchs Corner Road after someone broke into a garage and stole a chain saw.

• At 3:26 p.m. Feb. 18, deputies were called to Mount Sterling Road after a vehicle was damaged by a falling piece of ice.

• At 6:14 a.m. Feb. 13, deputies were called to Stonecrest Road for a possible burglary in progress. Nothing in the house appeared to be disturbed.

• At 10:31 a.m. Feb. 12, deputies were called to Shell Mart, Van Meter Road, concerning a stolen scratch-off lottery ticket.

• At 10:46 a.m. Feb. 13, deputies were called to Muddy Creek Road concerning the theft of two packages.

• At 1:37 a.m. Feb. 11, deputies were called to Pine Ridge Road after a tree fell on two vehicles in a driveway.

• At 1:09 p.m. Feb. 10, deputies were called to Constitution Drive concerning a stolen phone.

• At 5 a.m. Feb. 24, deputies were called to Quail Ridge Road concerning a possible stolen vehicle.

• At 8:49 p.m. Feb. 24, deputies were called to Boonesboro Road for a harassment complaint.

Accidents

• At 11:56 a.m. Feb. 16, deputies responded to an injury accident on Interstate 64 ner the 92 mile marker in which a vehicle driven by Jeremy J. Grieshaber of Deer Park, Washington, was traveling west when he lost consciousness and his vehicle struck a concrete barrier. Grieshaber and his passenger, Brian Thomas of West Virginia, were both transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

• At 3:18 p.m. Feb. 15, deputies responded to an injury accident near the 9 mile marker on the Mountain Parkway in which Alexander C. Estes of Linden Avenue was traveling east when he lost control of his vehicle in the snow, went off the road and overturned. He was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

• At 10:06 p.m. Feb. 11, deputies responded to an injury accident near the 9 mile marker on the Mountain Parkway in which David M. Smith of Cary, North Carolina, reportedly blacked out while traveling west. The vehicle went through the median and overturned. Smith and his passenger, Beverly A. Jacobs of Cary, North Carolina, were both taken to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

• At 6:59 p.m. Feb. 17, deputies responded to an injury accident near the 10 mile marker on the Mountain Parkway involving four vehicles. A vehicle driven by Randall F. French of Clay City went the wrong direction on the eastbound ramp. French said he attempted to turn around, but was struck by another vehicle, driven by Kevin B. Pulley of Mount Sterling. Christina M. Lowe of East Point said she stopped to help, but her vehicle was struck by another, driven by Michael R. Shepherd of Campton. French was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with chest pain, and Shepherd was transported with arm, head and leg injuries. French was later charged with driving under the influence, failure to wear seat belt, possession of open container in a motor vehicle, reckless driving and no proof of insurance.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

• At 9:24 a.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a chemical spill on Rockwell Road.

• At 4:51 p.m. Monday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Mina Station Road.

• At 5:30 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a vehicle fire near the 99 mile marker on Interstate 64.

• At 12:21 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Edison Court.

• At 1:53 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters were called to assist Powell County with a large animal rescue.

• At 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Dry Fork Road.

• At 10:17 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Tangle Ridge Lane.

• At 11:32 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a downed utility line near Mount Sterling and Sewell Shop roads.

• At 8:21 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to an injury accident near the 10 mile marker on the Mountain Parkway.

• At 6:25 a.m. Thursday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Acadia Way.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

• Tyanna Rose Huff, 42, was charged Monday with disorderly conduct, second-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, being a fugitive from another state and was served a warrant.

• Heather Renee Mahan, 36, was charged Monday with public intoxication, fourth-degree assault and third-degree possession of a controlled substance.

• Karah K. Combs, 46, was charged Tuesday with possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree possession of a controlled substance, third-degree possession of a controlled substance (two counts) and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

• James A. Walker, 38, was charged Tuesday with driving under the influence, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, driving on an expired operator’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Reports

• At 8:34 a.m. Monday, officers were called to Holiday Road concerning a theft from a vehicle.

• At 1:24 p.m. Monday, officers were called to Elizabeth Street concerning a theft.

• At 3:39 p.m. Monday, officers took a report at the police department concerning a theft from a storage unit. Items including a television were taken.

• At 4:18 p.m. Monday, officers took a report concerning a possible stolen phone.

• At 8:31 p.m. Monday, officers were called to North Main Street concerning a domestic disturbance. Heather Mahan was arrested on multiple charges.

• At 8:33 p.m. Monday, officers were called to Hubbard Road concerning a theft including cash, money orders and a television form the Sanctuary Apartments office.

• At 9:36 p.m. Monday, officers were called to Brown Proctor Apartments, South Main Street, for a foot pursuit. Tyanna Huff was arrested on multiple charges.

• At 9:38 a.m. Tuesday, officers took a report at the police department concerning an unemployment claim filed with the caller’s personal information.
