SUN STAFF REPORT

The Clark County School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, but all of the discussion is expected to be in closed session.

The board will follow the rules of the state’s open meetings law, which allows certain sensitive matters to be discussed behind closed doors, but then the meeting must be opened to the public  before any action can be taken.

Board Chair Ashley Ritchie and Superintendent Paul Christy both said Monday morning they didn’t think the board would take any action on either of the issues board members will be discussing.

The only two items on the agenda are discussion of proposed or pending litigation against or on behalf of a public agency and a preliminary discussion regarding the evaluation of the superintendent’s contract.
