CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

• Raymond L. Brown, 48, of Clay, West Virginia, was charged March 2 with wanton endangerment (seven counts), first-degree fleeing or evading police, no registration receipt, no registration plate, no insurance, improper display of a registration plate, reckless driving and was served a warrant.

• Ashley Major, 30, of Louisville, was charged March 3 with third-degree possession of a controlled substance (two counts), public intoxication and a handicapped parking violation.

• Nathan Cullop, 33, of Country Club Court, was charged March 4 with driving under the influence (second offense), careless driving and license to be in possession.

• Rubi Mendez, 47, of Lexington, was charged March 7 with driving under the influence, failure to wear seat belt, possession of open container of alcohol in motor vehicle, no registration receipt and no operator’s license.

• Brian Crowe, 35, of Summerhill Way, was charged Tuesday with third-degree criminal trespass, fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest and criminal littering.

• At 4:30 p.m. March 3, deputies were called to Clifton Court concerning a fraudulent unemployment claim.

• At 4:52 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to Old Ruckerville Road concerning a fraudulent unemployment claim.

• At 10:45 p.m. March 6, deputies were called to Iron Works Road to serve an emergency protection order. A firearm was found in the subject’s vehicle and was taken into evidence.

• At 1:46 p.m. March 6, deputies were called to Athens Boonesboro Road concerning a stolen motorcycle.

• At 2:55 p.m. March 5, deputies were called to Trapp Goff’s Corner Road concerning a fraudulent unemployment claim.

• At 9:40 a.m. March 5, deputies were called to Ecton Road concerning a stolen vehicle.

Accidents

• At 10:59 a.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Irvine Road involving a Clark County school bus. David L. jones of Irvine said he stopped for a traffic flagman. The bus driver, Jacqueline D. Crouch of Iron Works Road, said the other car stopped quickly and she was unable to avoid the collision. The flagger said he had to move out of the way to avoid the car as it tried to stop. Jones and his passenger Stevie Woolery of Irvine were transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

• At 12:12 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a ruptured natural gas line on Old Boonesboro Road.

• At 4:45 p.m. Monday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Kimberly Drive.

• At 9:50 p.m. Monday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Big Stoner Road.

• At 10:38 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a report of smoke around the 89 mile marker on Interstate 64.

• At 10:59 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at Irvine and Pilot View roads.

• At 1:29 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Rosebud Lane.

• At 6:55 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Ralston Lane.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

• Christopher Ray Brookshire, 45, was charged Monday with first-degree promoting contraband.

• Kristopher L. Cottrell, 41, was charged Monday with theft by unlawful taking under $500.

• Kayla Michelle Crager, 29, was charged Monday with criminal littering, disorderly conduct, second-degree fleeing or evading police and resisting arrest.

• Aaron Dawson Jackson, 41, was charged Monday with theft by unlawful taking under $500.

• Robert Ray Shelley, 43, was charged Monday with theft by unlawful taking.

•Michael Ray Anderson, 29, was charged Wednesday with receiving stolen property under $10,000.

• David Earl holland, 54, was charged with second-degree criminal abuse.

• Katherine Lee Holland, 52, was charged Wednesday with second-degree criminal abuse.

• Brittany N. Moore, 34, was charged Wednesday with second-degree criminal abuse.

• Jennifer Lee Young, 39, was charged Wednesday with theft by unlawful taking.

• At 7:23 a.m. Monday, officers were called to South Maple Street for a fraudulent unemployment claim.

• At 10:53 a.m. Monday, officers were called to Magnolia Street for a burglary complaint.

• At 1:41 p.m. Monday, officers were called to Clark Regional Medical Center concerning drugs possibly left by a patient.

• At 4:14 p.m. Monday, officers were called to Bypass Road concerning a person cutting open packages. Kristopher L. Cottrell was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking.

• At 6:33 p.m. Monday, officers took a report at the police department concerning a stolen video game system.

• At 8:59 p.m. Monday, officers were called to North Main Street concerning a female who refused to leave a business. Kayla Crager was arrested on multiple charges.

• At 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, officers took a report at the police department for a harassment and assault complaint.

• At 9:24 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to West Hickman Street concerning a stolen vehicle.

• At 11:34 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to East Washington Street after someone took a wallet and cash from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

• At 11:59 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to Bypass Road concerning a stolen wallet.

• At 4:14 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to Clark Regional Medical Center after suspected drugs and syringes were found on a patient.

• At 10:03 a.m. Wednesday officers were called to Hiawatha Trail after several vehicles were broken into during the night.

• At 12:28 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to Mutual and Winn avenues concerning a stolen motorcycle. Michael Ray Anderson was charged with receiving stolen property.

• At 1:19 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to Lana Lane concerning a fraudulent unemployment claim.

• At 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to Hill Street concerning a person who pulled a knife on another person.

• At 4:53 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to Melbourne Street for a breaking and entering complaint.

Accidents

• At 9:24 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to an injury accident on South Bloomfield Road in which a vehicle driven by Michele R. Roe of Killarney Drive was driving east on Lexington Avenue and collided with another vehicle, driven by Stella Ashburn of Locust Drive, as it crossed on Bloomfield Road. Roe said she believed she had a green light, but witness said it was red. Ashburn and her passenger Bella Ashburn were transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

• From Monday through noon Wednesday, EMS personnel responded to 24 general medical calls, three cardiac cases, six respiratory cases, one seizure and one overdose.

• At 8:40 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding on Shoppers Drive. It was a false alarm.

• At 1:41 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding on Corporate Drive. It was a false alarm.

• At 9:12 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters were called to Maryland Avenue for a cooking fire.

• At 9:24 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Lexington Avenue and Bloomfield Road.

• At 10:59 a.m. Wednesday, EMS personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident at Irvine and Pilot View roads.

• At 11:44 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters were called to Winchester Plaza for a mulch fire.
