LaRue F. Allen, 65, of Addison, New York, and Winchester, Kentucky, died on Saturday, March 6, 2021 in Tyler, Texas.
LaRue was born in Hornell, New York on Feb. 8, 1956.
He settled in Texas and was employed by AT&T in Dallas for 35 years.
On Nov. 29, 2013, he married Holly J. Woodard.
LaRue was an avid pilot and held a pilot’s license all during adulthood.
Survived by his wife, Holly Allen of Addison, New York, children, Ainsley L. Allen of Lompoc, California, Grant C. (Lora) Allen of Wheatfield, Indiana, and Ross E. (Holly) Allen of Fort Hood, Temple, Texas, bonus children, Joyce (Adam) Smith, David (Julie) Stuart II and Gerald (Vicky) Stuart, 13 grandchildren, brothers, Arnold Allen of Winchester, Kentucky, and Hugh (Darlene) Allen of New York, and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
LaRue’s remains are being donated to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee, for forensic research.
Arrangements are with the Smith Funeral Home in Woodhull, New York.
