He was pronounced dead by the coroner at 5:10 p.m.

According to the Clark County Fire Department, which provided assistance, the accident occurred around 4:07 p.m.

Gayheart said the accident happened at the intersection of Old Boonesboro Road and Ky. 627, near the top of the hill above the bridge over the Kentucky River. He said it had earlier been called in as having happened at Ford Road and Ky. 627 at the bottom of the hill.

The driver of the truck was not injured, and no one else was involved.

According to Kentucky State Police Post 7, the accident is still under investigation by Trooper Neal Barnes.

The initial investigation indicates a 2011 Ford F-150, operated by Billy Patrick, 55 years old of Winchester, attempted to make a left turn onto Old Boonesboro Road when it collided with Jones’s 1999 Honda motorcycle that was traveling north on Boonesboro Road.
