Edwin E. Bennett, 53, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Feb. 21, 2021. He was born Nov. 23, 1967, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Kitty Salyer Bennett and the late William “Bill” Bennett Jr.

Ed is survived by his daughter Eden Layne Bennett Wilder and her husband Ryan Wilder. He is also survived by his mother Kitty Bennett, his two brothers Billy (Kathy) Bennett and Paul Bennett, sister Kari (Jamie) Sunderland, nieces Leah and AnnaKayt Sunderland, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was loved and cherished by so many, from his hometown Winchester friends to those he worked with, and all his fun-loving friends.

Ed was the life of the party, always ready to crack a joke and have a good time. He had the best sense of humor and could tell a story better than anybody. He loved rock ‘n’ roll and going to see live music with his friends. His dog, Rocko, was his best buddy and constant companion.

A celebration of life for Ed will be held Sunday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at 4405 Ironworks Road in Winchester, Kentucky, in the field in front of the water tower. Dress is casual, band T-shirts are encouraged. Bring a camp chair and good memories of Ed!
