Miss Nancy’s 2nd Family Foundation on Wednesday presented Clark County Preschool $1000 of gift cards donated by Kroger. It was 20 gifts cards of $50 each.

The foundation was started by Kamble with the help of her siblings shortly after their mother, Nancy Metz, died in 2019. It works to support the preschool where “Miss Nancy” was teacher.

“My brother, Jerod Metz and my sister, Kalyn Metz Knight, and I continue to work to gather resources and donations to continue the work that our mom provided as a teacher in the classroom on a daily basis,” Kamble said.

She said so many of the students who attend the school need so many things.

“Our mom always said that the issues and problems that the students at the preschool have should be addressed now before they go on to elementary school and those same situations get worse by not working on them now,” she said.

The foundation has continued to be on the forefront of the minds of Kamble and her siblings no matter where they are. To date they raised over $10,000 for various causes and events to help support the Clark County Preschool and its staff.

“I understand that times are really difficult for everyone during this pandemic, and it’s even worse for students like these. Our school system needs to do all it can do to move forward with the construction of a new preschool facility that will accommodate the full number of students that apply to attend the school each year. My mom always valued education and her time with her second family at the preschool, and I would hope that this county sees the value of a new facility now rather than later,” Kamble said.
