Earth Day celebration planned at Legacy Grove Park

Legacy Grove Park at 1107 Lexington Avenue will celebrate Earth Day from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April  22. Admission and all activities are free.

There will be Earth Day crafts, a book walk, bird exploration, seed planting, tree discovery, iNaturalist app instruction, a scavenger hunt, Earth Day BINGO, watershed investigation, litter pickup and free tree saplings. There will be live music from 4 to 6.

The Earth Day team consists of Legacy Greenscapes, the Clark County Cooperative Extension Service, Lower Howard’s Creek Nature, and Heritage Preserve, the Clark County Public Library, Nature Reliance School, Environental Education Leadership Corps, the City of Winchester’s stormwater program, Winchester-Clark County Farmers Market, Full Circle Market, Sekisui, WIN Environmental Education Network, Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation and singer-songwriter Erin Sliney.
