Baker Chorus students to take part Saturday in Kentucky Virtual Choir Project

The Baker Intermediate Chorus has 12 students selected to participate in Kentucky Virtual Choir Project sponsored by the Louisville Youth Choir.
Caroline Brookshire, Charlie Craig, Emma Galloway, Lillian Griffett, Ella Kidd, Reagan McCormick, Allison Mullins, Mischa Richardson, Emma Roberts, Brianna Seals, Macy Wasson and Whitley White all submitted their video performances and joined fifth-12th grade students from across the state to complete a beautiful performance of “My Love For You.”
Each year, Churchill Downs hosts a big event for the opening night of the spring meet leading up to Derby. This year it is taking place on Saturday, April 24, 2021. For the opening night event, they highlight the arts in the region.The Louisville Youth Choir submitted the Kentucky Virtual Choir Project for consideration as featured artists for this event, and they were selected.
This means that during the opening night event, Churchill Downs will be playing the Virtual Kentucky Choir Project, the Winchester school’s Baker Bulldogs!
The BIS Chorus is under the direction of Stephanie Arthur.
On Monday night, the students were honored by the Clark County Board of Education at its meeting.
