Clarese Martin Barnes, 94, of Highway 599, Jeffersonville, Kentucky, widow of Stanley Earl Barnes, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born in Powell County, Kentucky on October 4, 1926, the daughter of the late Bun and Maude Neal Barnes. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Sterling Christian Assembly of God.

She is survived by three children, Larry Dexter (Zellie) Barnes of Jeffersonville, KY, Marlene (Gary) Goodpaster of Winchester, Kentucky, and Robin Donaldson of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; fourteen grandchildren, Scott (Trish) Barnes, Steven (Stephanie) Barnes, Bradley (Larra) Barnes, Shayne (Stephanie) Barnes, Brandi (Aaron) Noel, Tyson (Kayla) Barnes, Ashlea (Corey) McGlothin, Regina Goodpaster (Chip) Culton, Kari Goodpaster (Dale) Gough, Kelly Goodpaster (Kenneth) Fithen, Lakyn (Rusty) Leggett, Kristi (Daniel Elswick) Donaldson, Stacia Donaldson Byrd, and Timothy Donaldson; and 31 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Sherwin and Greg Barnes.

Funeral services will be at 11 am., Friday, May 28, 2021, at the Mt. Sterling Christian Assembly of God, 1834 Owingsville Road, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353 with Rev. Scott Barnes officiating and burial following in the Martin & Willoughby Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steven Barnes, Tim Barnes, Bradley Barnes, Tyson Barnes, Shayne Barnes, and Nathan Meade. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyran Barnes, Colton Barnes, Brandon Ballard, Rusty Leggett, Aaron Noel, Corey McGlothin, Daniel Elswick, Dale Gough, Chip Culton, and Kenneth Fithen.

Friends may visit Thursday, May 27, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at Mt. Sterling Christian Assembly of God.
