Janice Lee Cox, 73, of Lascassas, TN passed away May 23, 2021, at Murfreesboro Memory Care in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born on July 19, 1947, in Powell County, KY to the late Edward Lee Stanfield and Louise Huff Stanfield. Janice was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse who had worked at Womack Army Medical Center.

She is survived by two sons Kenneth D. Cox (Kelly) of Wingo, KY and Phillip H. Cox (Lynn) of St Clair Shores, MI and a daughter Kathryn M. Weigle of Lascassas, TN (her partner Jennifer Daniel), seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a sister Connie R. Poore of Tonganoxie, Kansas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Cox.

The funeral service was held at 9 a.m., on May 27 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with interment in the Cayce Methodist Church Cemetery.
