Verlene Harrison Burris Reed, 96, passed away June 22, 2021. She was born Dec. 15, 1924, in Todd Co, Kentucky, and grew up in Muhlenberg County.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Paul Burris, daughter, Paula Burris Porter, husband, Claude Reed and parents, Arthur and Flossie Mae Harrison.

She is survived by son Nicholas (Bonnie) Burris and son-in-law Jim (Sara) Porter; grandchildren Jason (Konstantina) Burris, Heather Burris, Martha (Larry) Dixon, James Porter and Jennifer Davis; great- grandchildren Ava and Nicholas Burris, Hayden Bush, Chase and Whit Dixon, Rachael, Taylor and Reese Davis.

A special thank you to caretakers Mary Jones and Debbie Gorjian.

Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, June 26, at 1 p.m. at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home with visitation from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.

Burial will follow at Clarmont Memorial Gardens.
