Dorothy McClain Morguson,( age 91) entered into eternal rest 9-14-2021. She moved to Okeechobee, Fl., coming from Winchester, Ky., in 2003. She was retired from the nursing profession. She was an active member of the Breast Cancer Society. She was a member of the Oakview Baptist Church, attending Sunday school and church services. Survivors include her husband Edward G. Morguson, for 42 years; Sons Jerry (Janis) Thomas of Edgewater Fla. and Karl (Betty) Heinzig of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two step-daughters, Lisha Morguson and Melanie Morguson of Winchester, Ky. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Byron “Frosty” McClain; mother, Gladys McClain Kemp; infant brother, Paul Thomas McClain and Bobby G.McClain Sr.; sisters, Anna Pearl McClain Cottrell and Carolyn McNabb; nephews Duane Thomas Clark and Bobby G. McClain, Jr. In addition, she is survived by three grandchildren, Stacy Shimfessel(Jim) Lawwill, Todd(Sherry)Thomas, and Destiny (Chris) Cartwright; three step-grandchildren, Edward(Rachelle) Conner, Lena Conner Mays, and Bethany Lawrence (Nathaniel) Lipe ; seven: great-grandchildren, Samantha Shimfessel Mastin (Derek), Wade(Jessica) Shimfessel, Paxton Thomas, Hillary(Zach) Thomas, Janson Thomas, Kaydon and Hunter Cartwright ; seven great-great grand-children Taytum Belle , Bridger Mastin , Phoenix and Lily Mae Shimfessel, Hudson and Hunter-Claire Pritchard, and Kelly Grace Thomas; five step great- grandchildren, Tesa Boyd, Leia Mays, Hadleigh and Mylo Conner, and Griffin Lipe; and several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. There will be no viewing or funeral at the expressed wishes of Dorothy Morguson. A memorial service will be conducted October 27th At 2:00 pm at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 South Main Street, Winchester, KY , 40391. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM until time of Service.
