Betty Sparks Asbury, 85, widow of Walter Asbury, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021, at her residence. She was born on January 4, 1936, in Lee County Virginia to the late Walter and Mary Flanagan Disney. She was a homemaker and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She is survived by her children, Mary K. Haggard, James Galloway, Daniel Galloway, Wanda Hundley, Clarence Kenneth Sparks, Sherry Merritt, Margie Watson, Hilda Wilson; her siblings, Elsie Clark Patricia Kirby; twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Wanda Andrews, Walt Disney, Melba Trent, Barbara Robinette, Phyllis Bryant, and Carl Flanagan.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, November 1, 2021, at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel with burial following in the Winchester Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM, until the time of the services.
