George Rogers Clark High School’s girls’ basketball team defeated the Scott Lady Eagles 66-34 on Saturday. They were led offensively by Brianna and Ciara Byars, who respectively tallied 17 and 13 points. They both joined Kennedy Stamper and Madelyn Settles in hitting two three-point shots, while Tyra Flowers compiled 10 rebounds.

Tate’s Creek narrowly defeated the Lady Cards 46-45 Tuesday, an away game played in that neck of the woods.

Cards’ boys’ basketball team won Tuesday night 68-63 in a competitive contest against Madison Central. With 18 points, Tanner Walton led the way offensively. Trent Edwards finished as the second leading scorer with 12 points, while also tying Stanley Smothers with a game high 5 rebounds. A 50% field goal shooting percentage and 57.1% free throw percentage paid dividends for the Cardinals.
