Carolyn Johnson Todd, widow of Marion C. “Bud” Todd departed this world on December 17, 2021 surrounded by her family and caretakers. She was born November 12, 1933 to the late Thomas Gilbert and Ruth Martin Johnson in Clark County, Kentucky.

Carolyn was a devoted servant to her community. She served on the Women’s Auxiliary Board and was instrumental in starting the Junior Miss Program in Mt.Sterling, Kentucky. She worked for Dr. Bennett N. Asher for over 30 years before retiring. She made sure the office ran seamlessly, rarely turning a patient away. Her devotion to her work and her caring nature is what she was best known for and loved by so many that came through that office.

She had a love for Christmas and all the trimmings. Every year her tree was meticulously decorated as was the packages and her home. The smell of homemade candy filled the halls as she prepared many a plate full for her family and friends. Traditions that will be carried on through her family.

Carolyn was a fan of all types of sports, especially her Kentucky Wildcats, she never missed a game. This love carried on with her watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports. She was always there, rain, shine or snow cheering them on and yelling at a bad call.

She adored her family and rarely missed an event, from school performances, special lunches, programs, games to graduations. You could always count on a card from her in the mail for any and all occasions. She was the matriarch of this family and will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her children: Mary Elizabeth Baxter, Winchester, Kentucky; Deborah Ann Birmingham, Indialantic, Florida; Donald Lee (Ramona) Baxter, Winchester, Kentucky.
