Charges have been filed in the case of a Winchester internet cafe accused of promoting illegal gambling.

According to the Kentucky State Police, Dana Carney, 45, and Joseph Carney, 50, have both been charged with promoting gambling in the first degree.
Royal Queen Bee’s Internet Cafe, run by the Carneys, was raided by the KSP in November after a months-long undercover operation. During the raid, law enforcement officials seized 20 items of gambling equipment.

According to business filings on the Kentucky Secretary of State’s website, the cafe was registered as a limited liability company to Dana Carney under the name Dana L. Carr in Oct. 2020. In October of this year, the secretary of state’s office dissolved the LLC for failing to file its annual report within 60 days.
