GRC Boys’ Basketball

In their 89-53 win against Ashland Blazer on Dec. 21, the Cards were led by both Jerone Morton and Trent Edwards tallying 20 points, while Tanner Walton had 17 and Sam Parrish contributed 14. Morton and Walton also tied with 9 rebounds.

Having completed the King of the Bluegrass Tournament, the Cards head to Lexington for the White, Greer & Maggard Holiday Classic. They’ll play three games in total, with their 2pm opener on Dec. 27th being against Woodford County. Having only one official loss to their record, Woodford County promises to be keen competition.
GRC Girls Basketball

In the Lady Cards tournament winning game in the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic, they overcame Southwestern 62-61 in a thrilling overtime finish. Ciara Byars and Brianna Byars put up 23 and 19 points, respectively, while Tyra Flowers came on strong with 18 points. She also led the way with 9 rebounds.

Beginning on Tuesday, the Lady Cards will take part in the Vanous Lloyd Christmas Tournament at Warren Central High School. Their first of three opponents – McLean County – comes in at 2-7 in a game during which GRCHS figures to have the upper hand.
