The home dedication for Jamie Skinner and her daughter has been rescheduled.
The event was originally scheduled for last Saturday but the winter storm that dropped close to ten inches of snow in parts of central Kentucky caused
Habitat for Humanity of Madison and Clark Counties to postpone the event to Jan. 22 at 2 p.m.
“We feel this weekend is just too dangerous to have folks come,” the organization’s fund development coordinator, Amanda Dube, wrote in a text message last Friday.
The Skinner house is one of several Habitat homes that are being built on Lincoln Street. It was built as part of a partnership called “Faith Builds” between the Lexington chapter of Thrivent Financial, a faith-based financial non-profit, and several local churches.
