He was born on December 28, 1924, to the late Harvey Hamm and Minnie Earl Grayson Hamm. Orban was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He is retired from L&N Railroad after 44 years of service. He was also a Mason.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather. He also loved farming, cows, chickens, car racing and his loyal dog Molly. He is survived by three children, O.C. Hamm Jr. (Jerrie), Van Rogers, Ruby Jacob (Wayne); five granddaughters, Leann Taylor (Allen), Amy Hall (Jason), Laura Harris (Wes), Michele Birch (Kevin), Jaime Saunders (Tommy); seven great grandsons, two great-great grandsons, and one great-great granddaughter.

Graveside service will be at 1:00PM, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Winchester Cemetery by Rev. Neil Salvaterrra. Arrangements made by Scobee Funeral Home.
