Hoss is still young, right at 18 months old. Though this nice little dog is deaf, Hoss is playful and bouncy and loves toys. Hoss is good with other dogs and loves to play hard. He has a great temperament. At this point in his life he is a big-untrained puppy so he is looking for a home that can give him ample time for excessive to get that energy out so that he can focus on learning a routine, training and becoming the great dog that we know he is. A home with deaf dog experience would be preferred because it does pose challenges but learning to speak in his terms can be a very rewarding and successful bonding experience for family and dog as you both learn together. Age: 1yrs 8mths 1wks Animal has been Neutered
Lola was surrendered to the shelter because her owners could not longer keep her where they lived. She was very scared and uninviting when she first arrived at the shelter but within a couple days she learned to trust our staff and was jumping up to greet us and give kisses. Lola does well with other dogs but will need a home that can slowly introduce her to new situations and people to help her gain confidence. She would love a fenced yard to play in- she does love toys. A home with children over 12 would be best. Primary Color: Chocolate Age: 1yrs 2mths 2wks Animal has been Spayed
Adopting an animal from the Clark County Animal Shelter is a unique experience.
This is a small shelter in a growing community which allows folks to make each adoption personal. Shelter staff will be able to give you information about the animal you are interested in adopting and may also be able to recommend animals that would fit into your lifestyle.
Matching each animal to the appropriate home allows for a much smoother transition for both the animal and the adopter. Shelter does require an application that must be approved prior to finalizing any adoption. Every animal is seen by a licensed veterinarian and fully vetted* before going to their new home. The adoption fee for dogs is $95. The adoption fee for cats is $50.
