Over the weekend, the Cardinals (25-1) built their winning streak to 19 straight games, and defeated Bardstown 84-46. Tanner Walton took charge offensively with 22 points, while Jerone Morton added 19.

Several turnovers – including three steals by Sam Parrish – helped GRCHS build an insurmountable lead. Prior to the District Tournament, the Colts will end their regular season with 3 games this week. Their final home game on Monday offers a challenge with competition against

Bracken County (20-6), who comes in at 3 rd place in the 10th Region. Afterward, with games against Tates Creek (10-14) in Lexington and Scott County (9-14) in Georgetown, the Cards will look to continue improving in preparation for postseason play.

GRC Girls Basketball
In a dominant victory against Campbell County on Friday (9-17), the Lady Cards (24-1) outscored their opponent 78-21. This 57-point margin of victory is their largest of the season to date. 11 different players scored, including a team-high 16 points from Ciara Byars and 13 points from Trinity Gay. One day later, in a battle of top teams, the Cards defeated the 11th Region leading Franklin County Lady Flyers (20-6) in Frankfort 64-54.

This week, the Lady Cards will conclude their regular season. In the home finale, they’ll take on Paul Laurence Dunbar (8-14), who has struggled this season following a 4-0 start. Against the Notre Dame Pandas (19-3) in Park Hills, their season will end with an early playoff test.
