Barbara Kay Addis Huff, aged 80, went to her heavenly home the morning of February 14th, 2022. She
was born July 27th, 1941, in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Ura Sweeney and Thomas E. Addis. On October 1st, 1960, she wed Kenneth Huff to whom she was married for 61 years.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas B. Addis.

In addition to her husband Kenneth, Kay is survived by her children Steve (Angela) Huff, Kathy (Billy)
Bennett; grandsons Bailey and Noah Huff all of Winchester, KY; several nieces and nephews; and dear
friends.

Kay was an accomplished woman. She was a graduate of Oak Hill High School in Oak Hill, OH and
attended Rio Grande College in Rio Grande, OH and later Eastern Kentucky University. She was one of
the first female Emergency Medical Technicians in Clark County, KY. Kay retired as the Assistant Director
of Service to Military Families & Veterans with the Bluegrass Area Chapter of the American Red Cross. During her time at Red Cross, Kay served as a Case Worker assisting countless veterans, veteran’s
widows, and military families. She developed “Get to Know Us Before You Need Us”; a program to serve
military families that were implemented nationally.

Kay was dedicated to her community. She was member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Winchester.
She was one of the first women inducted into Clark County/Winchester Kiwanis and was awarded the
Legion of Honor after 25 years of membership. She will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother,
and grandmother. Her genuine friendship will be cherished by all who experienced it, and her life of
service will live on through the lives she touched.

Visitation will be held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 2410 W. Lexington Rd. in Winchester at 10:00 a.m.
Friday, February 25th, immediately followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Masks are required.

The service will be officiated by Father Jim Trimble and Dr. Ed Mesta. Honorary Pallbearers are Chuck Hisle, Bailey Huff, Noah Huff, Rodney Lee Kirschner, Thom Schoolmaster, Donnie Skinner, Dave Mullen, and Jim Bob Woosley.
