COVID numbers continue to slide; health department to hold vaccine clinics

The number of positive COVID-19 cases in Clark County continues to trend downward, according to the latest numbers released by the health department.
The Clark County Health Department reported 125 confirmed cases by Friday, down from 165 reported the previous week, and is significantly down from the over 500 confirmed the first week of February.
So far, there have been 10,855 cases reported in the county by the health department since the pandemic began in March 2020. One thousand one hundred eighty-six cases have been confirmed this month alone, accounting for 11 percent of all reported cases.
The health department will host two upcoming vaccine clinics at 400 Professional Dr.: one for the Pfizer vaccine on March 1 from 3 to 6 pm. and another for the Moderna vaccine on March 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
