The number of positive COVID-19 cases in Clark County continues to trend downward, according to the latest numbers released by the Clark County Health Department.
The health department reported 55 confirmed cases for the week on Friday, slightly down from the 58 cases it confirmed last week.
The good news comes on the two-year anniversary when the World Health Organization officially declared a beginning to the pandemic.
So far, there have been 83 cases confirmed in March.
There have been 10,968 cases reported in the county since the pandemic began.
Public Health Director Becky Kissick is pleased by the downward swing in cases.
“We are very encouraged by the progress we have made as a community!” she said.
