COVID cases remain low

The Clark County Health Department recorded yet another low weekly total of positive COVID-19 cases.
The health department reported 16 cases for the week on Friday, slightly down from the 20 recorded last week.
So far, there have been 109 confirmed positive cases in March. There have been 11,004 cases in Winchester and Clark County since the pandemic began two years ago.
As of Thursday, 8,303 Clark County residents have been vaccinated against the virus, which accounts for 60 percent of the population.
The community level for Clark County is stil rated as high despite the falling number of cases.
Health department officials said in a social media post that they are aware of the issues and believe there is a discrepancy with the national data and that they are working to identify the problem.
