Each eatery submitted a signature dish for the competition, which was fierce, but at the day’s end, it was Woody’s Sports Bar and Grill who took home first place honors.

Thanks to its chicken beer cheese quesadilla, the establishment off of Bypass Road was able to take home the top prize for bragging rights throughout town.

The tasty item received the most votes after delighting the taste buds of dozens of customers during the week between May 23 and May 29.

It faced competition from the likes of Reggie’s Bar and Grill, Corner Cupboard, Engine House Pizza Pub, and many more.

Coming in second place was the beer cheese philly sandwich from Corner Cupboard, while pulled pork and beer cheese waffle fries from Smokin’ Howard’s Sports Bar & Grill came in third place.

In the aftermath of victory, Tiffany Howard – who voted for the winning restaurant – was rewarded with a $50 gift certificate and two free tickets to the Beer Cheese Festival beginning June 11th. Many restaurants and vendors will have their delicious foods showcased at the event.
