| Betty Jean Rader (Barker), 51, widow of Tommy Dale Barker, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, at her home. She was born on March 2, 1971, in Lexington, Kentucky to Gary Wayne Short and Linda Kay Rader Short. She attended church at the Ark of Mercy. She was a very hard worker and enjoyed fishing. She loved to go “country cruising” driving back roads listening to her favorite music and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her parents, two children, Jasmine Heard, David Heard; three grandchildren, Josiah Heard, Jaimeson Heard, Mia Bellamy; two sisters, Tiffany Short, Kelly Fountain; three brothers, James “Leroy” Short, Robert Short, Andy White; one special aunt, Carolyn Short, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also leaves behind her beloved pet parrot named Baby. She is preceded in death by her husband, one aunt, Billie “B” Sellers; three uncles, Ray Sellers, Charlie Short, Lerman Rader; and sweet Granny Ruby Rader. Services will be 1:00PM, Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Athens Christian Church Cemetery by Chaplin Peter. |
