With temperatures forecast in the high 90s and heat indices forecasted in the triple digits keeping cool is imperative in Clark County this week and for those who need a respite Achieving Recovery Together is offering the top floor at its downtown location as a cooling center for the rest of the week.

The Winchester-based recovery non-profit will open its doors from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. the rest of the week. As with the warming center it operates during the winter, those with no place to call are especially encouraged to come but the general public is welcome as well.

The non-profit promises plenty of water, games and air conditioning for all those who show up.
