Suzanne P. Mesta, 81, wife of Dr. Edward H. Mesta, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022, at her home with her husband and son at her side.

Born in Harrodsburg, KY, on March 15, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Ralph L. and Mary Alice Pelsor. She was a graduate of Harrodsburg High School and Eastern Kentucky University. She was a member of St. Hubert’s Episcopal Church, Winchester Fine Arts, Study Club, Little Garden Club, DAR (Hart Chapter), and Colonial Daughters of the 17th Century. Suzanne lived a vibrant life: traveling the world with her husband, flower gardening, cooking, and home decorating. She was also an avid needle pointer and loved to read.

In addition to her loving husband of nearly 60 years, she is survived by her son, Edward H. (Aimee) Mesta II; grandchildren, Edward H. ‘Trey’ Mesta III and Mallory K. Mesta; son-in-law, Brian Durham; as well as host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and numerous good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Mary A. Durham.

Visitation will be held at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel by Scobee Funeral Home on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 5:00-8:00PM.

A private committal service will be held at a later date.

The family requests that memorials may be given to St. Hubert’s Episcopal Church – Sanctuary Renovation Fund, P.O. Box 21987, Lexington, KY 40522 and/or Rosemary Brooks Place 200 Rosemary Dr., Winchester, KY 40391.
