“I am ecstatic and honored to serve as the next principal of Clark County Preschool,” said Blanton in the release. “It has been my dream to serve the preschool in this capacity. I am a lifelong resident of Clark County and am grateful to serve the students, families, staff, and community. We will continue to develop the solid foundation that Clark County Preschool has established. I am dedicated to leading the Clark County Preschool to be recognized in Kentucky as a high-quality, rigorous program of excellence.”

The release states that Blanton “has gained extensive knowledge and experience while building invaluable relationships over the last decade.”

Blanton is a familiar face around the school’s Beckner Street location. She served in various positions during a 14-year tenure at the preschool and, for the past two years, served as the district facilitator for the preschool population, according to the release.

A multiple-time alumna of Eastern Kentucky University, Blanton earned bachelors degrees in child and family studies and interdisciplinary early childhood education and a master of arts in special education. According to the release, she is currently pursuing her rank 1 in school leadership.

Blanton and her husband, Charlie, reside in Clark County and have two daughters, Autumn and Winter Brinegar, and a son, Hagan, according to the release.
