Shelby Ann Stocker, 24, of Lexington, Kentucky, died suddenly Wednesday, July 20, 2022. A native of Winchester, Kentucky, she was born on May 21, 1998, to Melissa and John Finn Stocker. In addition to her parents she was survived by her brother, Spencer Finn Stocker.

Shelby impacted so many lives and was blessed with an abundance of friends. Her kind heart, infectious smile and amazing sense of humor were magnets to those who knew her best. Always a hard worker, Shelby was Valedictorian of her graduating class of 2016 at George Rogers Clark High School where she had a successful career as a varsity cheerleader and a top tennis player. She attended the University of Kentucky on several academic scholarships where she graduated with Honors from the UK Lewis Honors College, and summa cum laude with a UK Engineering Degree. She was employed by Badger Technologies, Jabil Inc. as a Software Engineer and was a member of Calvary Christian Church, Kappa Delta Sorority, and the UK Alumni Association.

Most importantly, Shelby was a loving daughter and friend who touched many lives around her. She loved her family more than anything and enjoyed being with them. She had a love for travel, music, dogs, and could easily light up a room with her brilliant smile. She loved and was loved by her family, friends, and coworkers along with her fur babies, Reese and Lexi.

Survivors include aunts and uncles, Karen Ecton (Barry Bingham) of Winchester, Kathy Graham (Reese) of Tennessee, Cindy Edwards (John “Doc”) of Louisville, and Garry Lee Collett of Louisville; her cousins Elizabeth Churchill (Chuck), Sarah Davis (Wes), Michelle Cooper (Taylor), and Carolyn Lowe; her great aunt Nancy Baker (James); and several other cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Carroll and Joyce Ecton, her paternal grandmother Kate Wheeler, as well as several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be from 4:00pm – 6:00pm, Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive, Winchester, Kentucky. Services will follow at 6:00pm and be conducted by Pastors James Bush and Steve Crosby.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Calvary Christian Church or the Clark County Animal Shelter.
