Cecil Dillard Henry, 72, of Clark County passed away Sunday August 7, 2022, at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky of complications from a stroke. A native of Winchester, Kentucky, he was born September 5, 1949, to the late Ernest Cole and Mabel Ball Henry. He was retired from Rockwell International. A new hire in their third training class (the one that trained for two days and were sent direct by to the plant for “on the job training”). When people asked him how long he was at Rockwell he would laugh and say he and another guy turned off the lights when Rockwell left town. While working for Rockwell he also owned his own water hauling business. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for the Winchester Fire Department. Since Childhood he had been an avid fisherman and a hunter. In the last few years, he enjoyed gardening and mowing his property. He loved to be outdoors and enjoying nature.

He is survived by a son, Dakota Lee (Becky) Henry, a daughter, Heather Marie (Tim) Bramble, a stepson, Travis (Diana) Potts, a brother, Bobby Lee Henry, two grandsons, Braxton Scott Bramble and Landon Cole Henry all of Winchester, Kentucky, nephew, Logan Cole (Kristyn) Henry of Powell County, niece, Lori Ann (Josh) Trammel of Scott County and two cousins, Ann Estes of Winchester and Sandra Lake of Berea, Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Leming and Mattie McKinney Henry, maternal grandparents, Dillard and Lucy Woods Ball, uncle, Cecil Clay (Alta) Henry of Clark County, aunt, Birdie Ball (Kenneth) Cassidy of Bath County.

A celebration of life will be from 9:30 AM- 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Scobee Funeral Home.
