Irene Thomas Bush, 95, widow of Eddie James Bush, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022. Born on February 9, 1927 in Blue Diamond, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Jonah Franklin and Margaret Pelfrey Thomas. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and later attended Cathedral Church of God. Irene worked at various department stores over the years as a sales associate until she retired in 1992.

She is survived by two daughters, Pam Steele (Chuck) and Latanna McCord (Brian); one grandson, Brian Glover (Elizabeth); three great grandchildren, Clay (Melissa), Taylor, and Maddie Glover; and one brother, Vernon “Bobby” Thomas (Minnie).

In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by five of her siblings, Elsie Dallasanta, Dorothy Anderson, Grace Lisle, Elmer Thomas, and Katherine Hopper.

Services will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, August 20, 2022. Visitation will be from 5:00PM-7:00PM, Friday, August 19, 2022. Burial will follow in Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Brian Glover, Clay Glover, Brian McCord, Robbie McCord, Stacy Lisle, and Ricky Thomas. Nephews will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
