John Roger Eades, 89, widow of Anita Colley Eades, passed away September 19, 2022. He was born October 29, 1932 to the late Roger Willam and Margaret Snowden Eades in Winchester. He was a retired construction worker and a member of Athens Christian Church. He is survived his daughters, Jolie (Melvin) Clemmons, Sherry (Eddie) Cornwell and Rebecca Cornwell; sons, Carl Douglas (Patricia) Blackman and Willard Cornwell; a sister Eleanor (Eddie) White; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Eades and sisters, Barbara Ritchie and Dorothy Willoughby. Services will be on Saturday, September 24, at 2:00 pm at Rolan G Taylor Funeral Home, with Pastor Robert Warren presiding. Visitation will be from noon till the hour of service. Burial in Athens Cemetery, Lexington, KY.
