Imogene Berryman Heaberlin Haggard, 96

Imogene Berryman Heaberlin Haggard, born May 29, 1926 in Clark County, Ky. to Charles W. and Aulta Johnson Berryman, died November 13, 2022 at the age of 96. She was the widow of John M. Heaberlin and Clark L. Haggard. She was also preceded in death by sisters Pauline Fox, Evelyn Witmer, and Polly Frances Berryman.
Imogene was educated at Kentucky Wesleyan and graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1946. A member of the Phi U honor society of family and consumer science, she taught home economics at Mason High School, Grant County, KY 1946-48. An active part in the life of North Middletown Christian Church for 74 years, she was a member of Circle 2, taught Sunday School, was a youth group leader, and church camp counselor. Imogene was dedicated to the cadette Girl Scout troop she led for 15 years. As one of the founding members of North Middletown Community Club, she often arranged for speakers for their meetings.
Anyone who met Imogene would find she was genuinely interested in getting to know them, starting with what “community” they were from. At each following visit, you’d know she was glad to see you, welcoming the chance to know you better.
Imogene’s life is celebrated by her four children John Charles Heaberlin, Joy (Van) Graham, Holly (Keith) Rost, and Jill Heaberlin. grandchildren Mason (Traci) Graham, Gina (John) Jones, Rachel Rost, Sophie Rost, Grace Backes, and Griffin Backes, and great-grandchildren Molly, Curtis, and Sam Jones.
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Friday, November 25, 2022, at the North Middletown Christian Church with Rev. Stephanie Moon officiation, burial in the North Middletown Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the church.
