Solar Work Shop

The Utility Scale Solar Workshop for Public Officials and Community Leaders will take place on Thursday, Dec. 15th. It has been rescheduled from its original Nov. 2nd date. The event will take place at the Clark County Public Library located at 370 S. Burns Avenue in Winchester and is hosted by the Center for Energy Education, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a center for renewable energy research, education, and community development. Workshop topics include environmental and safety impacts of solar technology, economic impacts of utility-scale solar projects, legal considerations for landowners.

Grace Bible Church is offering a free Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 23rd from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Both eat in and delivery are available. For delivery, please call the church between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22nd to place your order. Grace Bible Church is located at 250 North Main Street. First United Methodist Church is offering a free Thanksgiving meal on Thursday, Nov. 24th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Its location is 204 S. Main Street. Carry out or delivery options are available. Call the church for deliveries at 859-744-5410 or email SarahBeth@Winfumc.org

BCTC is hiring

Santa Clause is coming to town

On Sunday, Dec. 18 at 4:00 p.m., Abettor Brewing Company at 128 N. Highland St welcomes Santa Clause, Mrs. Clause, and Hank the Horse! New and gently used toys will be collected Monetary donations will also be accepted. These toys are free and open to all children from Clark County. Drop off-location is South Main Street Grocery and Grill at 385 South Main Street.

WMU will be closed for Thanksgiving

WMU will be closed on Thursday, November 24th & Friday, November 25 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Solid Waste services will be collected on Wednesday, November 23 for WMU customers that have collection on these days. Please have the curbits and items to be collected to the curb by 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23. If you should have any questions, please contact the Solid Waste Department at (859) 744-1170.
