On the morning of November 6, 2022, with her loving husband, Ryan P. Pennywitt, her parents David and Jo Ann Gravett and several caring friends looking on, Holly Lea Gravett Pennywitt danced into the rising sun and donned her Angel wings to join the beautiful Angel Dance Troupe. Her wishes were for all her family and friends to celebrate her first performance with a Celebration of Her Life. This will be held at “Party on Main”, 55 S. Main Street, Winchester, KY from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on December 3, 2022.
Holly was born December 25, 1982 to David Gravett and Vicki Quammen Gravett. She was a 2001 graduate of George Rogers Clark High School and continued her education and graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She was a therapist specializing in Autistic Children working in educational facilities in the Indianapolis, IN area.
During her younger years, Holly was mentored under Miss Fara and found her love of performance. She went on to perform in plays and dance at her second home, Leeds Theatre, where she spent many hours. In addition to the arts, Holly became a gymnast, which allowed her to become a member of award-winning cheerleading squads both in Junior High and High School. Even with all the activities she was involved, she still was able to be a straight A student and spend time with her extended families. She loved sports, animals and especially the beach, where she became engaged to be married on top of the Lighthouse at Outer Banks and then married to her beloved Ryan who again was in his arms at passing.
Holly is survived by Ryan, as well as her parents, David W. (Jo Ann) Gravett, in-laws Phillip (Karen) Pennywitt; siblings, Patrick, Katie and Colleen Connery, Nicole Jones; maternal grandmother, Doreen Quammen; paternal grandmother, Jo Gravett; several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Don Gravett; and maternal grandfather, Lee Quammen. She also is survived by her English American Bullldog, “Wrigley”, who has been by her side and is missing her tremendously.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Community North MD Anderson Center, 7979 Shadeland Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46250 and Leeds Center for the Arts, 37 N. Main St., Winchester, KY 40391.
Holly has been the most beautiful, caring and strong daughter, wife and friend in all of our lives. |
