The Winchester Sun’s annual Progress edition is on its way!

The 2023 edition’s theme is “Community Stars,” and we are seeking nominations for the people and places who make Winchester and Clark County shine like a star in the night sky.

So what constitutes a community star?

Well, honestly, the answer to that question is open-ended. A community star could be just about anyone when you think about it.

They could be the safety resource officer at a local school. They could be a gas station clerk who cracks jokes and brightens your day while you buy an Ale-8. They could be a teacher who put in long hours before and after the bell rings to make sure students are getting the best education possible. They could be the person who takes the time to clean up the litter out of local creeks.

Winchester and Clark County is a fantastic place, and the Sun staff considers it a privilege to tell this community’s stories, including the people who make it stand out.

So do you know a community star? If so, please get in touch with Sun associate editor Warren Taylor by email at warren@winchestersun.com or give him a call at 859-447-5363.
