Wreck shuts down Irvine Road

A wreck involving a vehicle pulling a large piece of equipment on a trailer closed a Clark County road Wednesday.
According to Clark County Sheriff Berl Perdue, the accident happened early Wednesday morning when the vehicle ran off the road into a ditch on Irvine Road near Veterans Memorial Parkway.
Sheriff’s deputies and troopers from the Kentucky State Police were soon on hand trying to comb through the wreckage, and the road was soon closed to traffic.
The road was reopened to traffic in the evening
Thankfully, there were no injuries or fatalities, according to Perdue.
News of the accident broke around 8:05 a.m. when the Winchester Police Department posted a news release on its Facebook page.
The accident also affected areas students.
According to a post on the Clark County Public Schools Facebook page, buses had to take alternate routes to get students from the area home.
