Peggy Ann Pace, 88, passed away in Lexington, Kentucky, January 27, 2023, following a long illness. She was the eldest of the late Vivian and Roger Pace of Winchester, Kentucky.
She leaves behind a brother, Prewitt Pace, sisters, Barbara Clore and Linda Wells (Pat), nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
Following retirement from Columbia Gas as administrative assistant in External Affairs, she remained active into her 80’s, working part time at Keenland, traveling, playing bridge, sewing, cooking for friends and coworkers, and meeting with a ladies circle at Central Christian Church, Lexington. She was a mentor, friend and loved by many.
She attributes her independent nature to her father’s advice to her and her siblings, “He always told us we had to be able to take care of ourselves.”
A private service will be held at a later date. Online guestbook at www.ScobeeFuneralHome.com.
