Dorothy “Dot” Abbott, 88, widow of James “Pete” Abbott, passed away at her home on February 4, 2023. She was born June 9, 1934 to the late Asa and Anna Rose Stamper in Wolfe Co., KY. Dorothy was the owner and manager of The Yellow Brick House in Winchester for 30 years and was a Kentucky Colonel. She is survived by her children; Pamela A. Vanicek(Billy), Phillip Bruce Abbott and James Bradford Abbott; grandchildren: Cameron Blake Abbott, Lauren Blair Farhat, Casen Abbott, Vanessa Brooke Craig and Baesha Suzanne Vanicek and 3 great-grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, at 12:30 pm, with visitation from 11:30 until the hour of service. Bishop Al Gwinn will be officiating and her granddaughter, Baesha Suzanne Vanicek will deliver her eulogy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice East, 407 Shoppers Dr., Winchester, KY, 40391. Burial in Winchester Cemetery. Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
