Martha “Beverly” Elam Lear, 66, of Winchester, KY passed away on February 7, 2023.

Beverly was born in Mount Sterling to Marie and the late Asa C. Elam, Jr. She was a graduate of Mt Sterling High School.

She was preceded in death by her father, Asa C. Elam, Jr; a brother, Asa Elam, III; and a brother-in-law, Graddy Prewitt of Versailles, Kentucky.

Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Lear, of Winchester; 3 daughters, Heather Craycraft of Lexington, Lauren Craycraft of Winchester and Lindsay Craycraft of Winchester; 4 grandchildren, Brock, Maria, Olivia and Bronson; 3 siblings, Deborah (Perry) Browning of Georgetown, Jacquelyn Prewitt of Versailles and Greg (Lois) Elam of Lexington; 3 step-sons, Jeff (Beth) Lear, Joe (Serena) Lear, and Jerry Lear of Bardstown, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Beverly was known for her costume making. She loved horseback riding, camping, hiking, antiquing and spending time with her family. She was a member of Generational Gems Homemakers Club and the Madison County Saddle Club. She was active in the 4H program and girl scouts.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM followed by service 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Sunday, February 19, 2023
