First Christian Church is pleased to announce that the Second Annual Woman Composer Sunday will be March 5, the closest Sunday to International Women’s Day (Wednesday, March 8).

Woman Composer Sunday was inaugurated in 2021 by the Society of Women Organists and has been promoted by the American Guild of Organists (AGO) and the Royal College of Organists. The church’s organist, Nancy Dunn, will play organ works by Kristina Langlois and Brenda Portman and a piano work by Charity Book Putnam.

The church – a Disciples of Christ denomination – is located at 24 East Hickman Street in Winchester. It offers Sunday morning worship beginning at 10:45 a.m., which is available via live stream on the church’s Facebook and YouTube pages beginning at 10:35 a.m.
