The Morehead State University Gospel Choir traveled down I-64 to entertain the residents and staff at Rosemary C. Brooks Place Friday afternoon.
The choir, directed by Roosevelt Escalante, performed numerous uplifting spiritual numbers for a delighted audience.
The college student’s performance has become an annual event at the facility.
“Music, especially Gospel music, always lifts the spirits of our residents. At Brooks Place, we love hosting the Morehead State University Gospel Choir for our residents and community members. The music director and every student is gracious and kind to share their time and talent with us. It is a great day of powerful music that brings joy to all. We left with a smile and look forward to seeing them again next year,” said Kim Howard, the facility’s activities director.
