Luther Combs, 76, husband of Karen Bridges Combs, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Born in Clayhole, Ky. on June 25, 1946, he was the son of the late Brack and Lenar Combs.
He was retired from The Winchester Sun after 40 years of service.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, he is survived by his son Dustin Combs, Lexington, Ky.; daughters Megan (Anthony) Cook, Tamatha Deaton and Debra Combs, all of Winchester, and his beloved grandchildren, Isaac, Samson and Jonah Cook.
He is also survived by sisters Serena Leveridge and Ruth Smith, brothers Paul Combs and Anthony Combs, sister-in-law Susan Bridges, mother-in-law Louise Bridges, and his special buddy, his cat Beasley.
He was preceded in death by sisters Linda Moore, Mauda Blankenship, Helen Smith and Vada Lee Combs, and brothers Lawrence Combs and Ralph Combs.
The family would like to thank Hospice East for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.
