News Release
After a long hiatus, an annual library tradition is being revived — the Friends of the Library book sale. This much-anticipated public event was abandoned during the COVID pandemic and has lain dormant since. The Friends group is currently reorganizing, and the first order of business is bringing back the annual book sale.
The sale will take place on Friday, Nov. 24, and Saturday, Nov. 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The sale will feature books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, and VHS tapes for $3 per bag. Small shopping bags will be provided. No other bags may be brought in.
This year, the sale will also include board games and video game cartridges.
At this time, the library is soliciting donations from the public for the book sale. The following items are needed:
· Gently used books of all genres
· Magazines in good condition
· Movies and music on DVD, CD, and VHS tape
· Video game cartridges
· Board games in good condition with all pieces
All items will be accepted at the library during regular business hours through Sunday, Nov. 19. The library is located at 370 South Burns Ave. and is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The book sale is an important source of funding for our public library. All proceeds go toward supporting the library’s programs.
